OSINT
What is OSINT?
Open-Source Intelligence or OSINT for short is the collection of data from open sources. These sources include but are not limited to public data resources such as government records databases, public social media sites, people search sites, blog posts, public sounding boards, public IRC sites among other resources.
Why OSINT?
OSINT is a unique tool used by attackers, journalists, law enforcement, and private investigators to identify and analyze the digital footprint of individuals, companies, non-profit organizations, and their associations. At HEART Sec we perform OSINT engagements to assist individuals and companies in identifying their online presence and the digital footprint visible to attackers. Having this data, individuals and companies can identify the breadcrumbs that make them vulnerable to online targeting by adversaries.
